AI agent: the future of human-computer interaction

This is the first Blog in this website.Let’s talk about the AI agent.We believe that Agent is the future development trend of AI. It will be widely used in digital assistants and health management.AI agent will be a new way of human-computer interaction.

Before we discuss this issue, let’s first look at the opinions of industry leaders:

Bill Gates:AI will completely change how you use computers.”You won’t have to use different apps for different tasks. You’ll simply tell your device, in everyday language, what you want to do.”

“To do any task on a computer, you have to tell your device which app to use. You can use Microsoft Word and Google Docs to draft a business proposal, but they can’t help you send an email, share a selfie, analyze data, schedule a party, or buy movie tickets.”But that is about to change.

“You won’t have to use different apps for different tasks. You’ll simply tell your device, in everyday language, what you want to do.”This type of software is called an agent.

Yes, as Bill Gates said, this is how agents are used in daily life.Let’s imagine that in the future, people’s lives will communicate with agents through natural language, and agents can automatically help you complete tasks and solve problems.

Upcoming AI agents will be far superior to earlier digital assistants.They will understand complex requests and manage a variety of activities,integrating knowledge of the user’s personal and professional life.AI’s future in healthcare extends beyond administrative tasks to patient triage and health advice, especially in underserved regions. These agents will also assist healthcare professionals in decision-making.

Just like the development history of personal computers and the Internet, artificial intelligence is developing at an astonishing speed, and the future will be the era of artificial intelligence:

Parallel Development of computer and LLM(Agent)

If LLM is compared to CPU, then with the development of large models, it will bring about a great revolution in the fields of software and human-computer interaction.

– In the future, human-computer interaction will be replaced by agent instead of application. Each agent will be an APP, and will interact with the agent through natural language interaction.
– However, current AI agents have limitations.Most of the basis for implementing agents nowadays is to remotely call large model APIs. In addition to developing agents separately, it is not easy to implement the calls to local hardware from a multi-agent perspective. Therefore, most of the existing artificial intelligence agents realize functions such as generating pictures, generating videos, generating texts, querying information, and answering questions. If the software and hardware can be combined through agents, more functions can be realized by using artificial intelligence.

In the above figure, steps 3, 5, and 6 all need to call the software and hardware interfaces, which belongs to the scope of OS implementation, but most of the existing agents cannot implement this function.To solve this problem, we need to connect the agent with the software and hardware.

In addition, there is another serious problem in the use of AI agents. With the popularity of LLM such as chatGPT, gemini, and deepseek, more and more companies are involved in the development of LLM, so the parameters of LLM are getting higher and higher. The parameters of many LLM have reached hundreds of billions.As the parameters increase, the LLM knows everything except the customer. But the customer is the final consumer of the LLM. KYC (know your customer) is required to open a bank account. If the LLM does not understand the customer, there is no way to provide personalized services to the customer. If personalized services are implemented for the customer, We need to do a lot of development work. Therefore, most of those who pay attention to AI agents and large language models are engineers and scientists.

Steve Jobs once said in a speech in 1997:

And as we have tried to come up with a strategy and a vision for Apple, it started with “What incredible benefits can we give to the customer? Where can we take the customer?” Not starting with “Let’s sit down with the engineers and figure out what awesome technology we have and then how are we going to market that?” And I think that’s the right path to take.

How can we make AI agents meet customer needs and make agents become consumer products rather than toys of scientists and engineers? This is the problem we need to solve. I will continue to discuss these issues in the following blogs.
